Lisa Bauer, 42, of 11 Baytree Drive was arrested Monday on a felony charge of daytime burglary. She was released after posting $10,000 bond.
Bauer is accused of stealing cash from the home of a neighbor on multiple occasions, and an Ohio County sheriff's report indicates she also stole thousands of dollars in jewelry from another neighbor.
Bauer admitted to some of those thefts, according to the report. The report indicates she told the investigator the crimes were prompted by her gambling addiction.
She allegedly stole a ring worth more than $6,000 and a bracelet valued at nearly $900 from her neighbor. She reportedly admitted to the theft of that ring and several other rings from the home, but she told a sheriff's investigator she returned them.
She denied taking any bracelet, according to the report.
